Keynote Speaker

Real Farm Stories. Real Straight Farm Talk.

Heidi welcomes opportunities to speak at farm-centric events and ag industry groups of all kinds via webinars or in-person engagements. An insightful, informed, and inspiring storyteller and presenter, she has been a guest lecturer in academic settings such as the Penn State College of Agricultural Science, a conference speaker for such events as the AG Promotion TASK Conference for the PA Farm Bureau, and an agribusiness panelist for career advancement groups such as Young Ag Professionals.

Advocate for Farmers

Champion for America’s Heroes in the Field

A fellow farmer describes Heidi as “a woman who uses her platform to advocate for a forgotten population, the American Farmer.” Heidi is a certified animal and poultry welfare officer and she has been selected as an industry Leader by the National Pork Board and National Pork Producers Council, to participate in their Pork Leadership Institute program. She believes “when we take on the responsibility of raising livestock, we owe it to them to do our very best. Any great farmer can tell you about the holidays, family meals, or kids sports games they’ve missed because there was an animal that needed tending and it couldn’t wait.”

Educator for Consumers

What Food Fills Your Freezer?

Heidi is passionate about making sure animal agriculture has a public image that is not only positive but accurate. “I love opportunities to collaborate or speak about agriculture. Whether it’s directly from the farm or in the grocery store, consumers need to know what goes into producing the food that fills their freezer.” She is unrelentingly enthusiastic about educating the marketplace through keynote speeches, media interviews, workshops, webinars, consumer events, and social media platforms such as her popular, quirky blog  The Princess and the Pig Farmer.

I’m not one of those people who gets starstruck easily, but when PA Elite Miss USAg Heidi Flory visited Glenn Hope Care Farm, I was a bit starry eyed. I was not only impressed by her, I was truly inspired by her work and commitment. She is a force to be reckoned with.  We discussed  many topics: farming, health care, land preservation, and food security. I’m so grateful to have had such a unique opportunity to meet a woman with such drive who uses her platform to advocate for a forgotten population, the American Farmer.

When planning our first county Farm to Table Gala, I couldn’t think of anyone better than Heidi to speak on the importance of farm to table from the perspective of consumers. An older, more conservative member told me, “At first I did not think I would care for her speech, but the longer she talked, the more intrigued I was and agreed with all of it.” If you’re looking for a speaker who can tailor to your event or keynote topic, reach out to Heidi!
